Adding a second sql server 2008 instance

Hi all,

I would want to know how can i add a second sql server instance in SSMS 2008, is the same procedure as in sql 2000?

If you're talking about adding an existing SQL Server instance to the object explorer in SSMS then right click on the first node (i.e. your server name) in the object explorer and select Register.

If you're talking about adding a new sql server instance you do that by running the sql server installation.
