Issue while running SSIS Package

Asked 1/30/2012 3:24:07 AM by Ajit

I am using Windows Server 2008 64 bit and SQL Server standard edition 64 bit. I have created a ssis package using save ssis package option (file system with package protection level do not save sensitive data )while running import utility to import excel file into syste. Import utility is working fine. After that I have imported that ssis package into integration services under stored packages --> file system.

After that when I tried to run this package it gives error message. After validating 33%,  in next line error message shows

error ssis error code dts_e_cannotacquireconnectionfromconnectionmanager. The acquire connection method call to the connection manager "Destination connection OLEDB" failed with error code 0xc0202009. There may be error message posted before this with

Plz help to resolve thius issue.

Thanks in Advance

With 64 bit you either need the 64 bit drivers for Excel or you can use the 32 bit drivers and use the 32 bit version of DTEXEC.

Take a look here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms141766.aspx for the details.

Personally I just use the 32 bit drivers and that works for me.

I have resolved the issue. Issue is I have made the ssis package with my user credential and I connect integration services with windows authentication. So when I execute the package it is not able to connect to destination connection string because of pwd was not there in the string..
